Make Your Summer Epic: 101 Things to do!

So I showed you our super cute activity calendar in which each day the girls get to pluck a ray of sunshine to find a fun activity, craft, outing for us to do.  And I already showed you one of our super simple activities here, and I plan to show lots more but I thought I'd just share the big ol' list with links in case you're coming up short on ideas (which I definitely was, this list is the result of many a night pinteresting and blog hopping!)
  • Picnic Lunch
  • Strawberry Picking (need help finding U-pick farms in your area: www.pickyourown.org has a large listing by county/state)
  • Make and Can Strawberry Jam
  • Local Hikes
  • Drive-In Movie
  • Make Ice Cream
  • Local Pool/Aquatic Center
  • Baseball Game
  • Mentos + Coke experiment
  • Mini Golf
  • Kids Concert
  • Storytime @ the Library
  • Make Ice Cream Sandwiches
  • Farmers Markets
  • Decorate Book bags for the Library
  • Make Ice Pops
  • Trampoline + Sprinkler
  • Backyard Tent Camp out
  • Nearby Amusement Park
  • Blueberry Picking
  • Mani/Pedi's
  • Chalk Hair and take silly photos
  • Visit new playgrounds or ones you don't usually frequent (there's one at a local school that my daughters been waiting anxiously for summer so we could go try it out)
  • Local Concerts
  • Make Watermelon Shapes with Cookie Cutters
  • Outdoor Movie (most areas show family friendly movies at some point in the summer)
  • Watch Fireworks on 4th of July
  • Children's Museum
  • Splash Park (if your area has 'em)
  • Water Balloon Fight
  • Make Crayons
  • Write a letter to the President
  • or a favorite celebrity (same rumor, not sure if it's true, I remember getting a stock "autographed" picture from Elijah Wood when I was a kid and being over the moon excited :P had it taped to my walls for YEARS haha)
  • Make fancy mocktails and serve in plastic margarita or other fancy cups with paper umbrellas
  • Water Balloons filled with kids safe washable paint (for the brave!)
  • Night swimming with glowsticks/necklaces/rings (can be done in the bathtub if your wee one can't stay up till it's dark enough)
  • Bowling (with bumpers)
  • Run through the Sprinklers
  • Make Toilet Paper Roll Binoculars and go for a hike
  • Alphabet Scavenger Hunt
  • Bring a pile of books to the park or back yard for outdoor story time
  • Magazine cut out collages
  • Visit local pizzeria see if they have any tour/ build your own pizza programs for kids (call ahead)
  • Gather up stuffed animals and host a teddy bear picnic outside
  • Celebrate Christmas in July with holiday snacks and movies
  • Make an All-About-Me book
  • Dig for buried treasure in Sandbox
  • Take a bag full of quarters and find all the ride-on toys around town
  • Slip-n-slide
  • Be a tourist in your own town, take photos at local landmarks!
  • Visit a drive-thru carwash
  • Make Pretzels
  • Fruit Loop Necklaces
  • Bike Rides
  • Visit a Beach
  • Sidewalk Chalk Masterpieces
  • Build a blanket fort in the living room/back yard
  • Buy Ice Cream from the Ice Cream Truck
  • Track down a large appliance box per child and let them at it (might be the most fun of all!)
