The girl folks in our neck of the woods received these for Christmas this year compliments of mama & daddy elf that apparently cannot make it through a Christmas Eve Eve without an all-night crafting session. The lack of sleep was well worth it, though, because the end product is nothing short of adorable and with all the expensive toys we had these seemed to still ring in as some of the favorites!
BTW if you're unfamiliar with Cuties they are SUPER crazy delicious California Clementines that surface in the grocery stores this time of year!
I used the instructions from the cuties website but altered my headboards a little bit (I didn't like how they looked using their measurements) Also, I used scrap cardboard for the headboards as I think a whole third crate is really quite unnecessary. Basically, I used 1 extra crate for all 3 beds that I made since I really was just using it for the little Cuties emblem to adorn the headboards.
Also, I LUCKED out and found the ladies at walmart just taking the Cuties out of their crates and they were nice enough to give me 8 of them! (I only used 7). So, don't feel overwhelmed that you have to eat that many cuties (although I think in this house that wouldn't be a problem!), just ask your local grocery store if they have any they're willing to spare!
Anyways, I know Christmas is through, but this would still be an INCREDIBLY fun thing to make for your any little lady in your life and I just had to share :)
Hope your Holiday was as glittery fabulous as ours!
